Benefits of the 2023 DUO-Sweden Fellowship Programme
The standardized amount of fellowships is as follows:
- In high-income countries, both Asian students and Swedish students in a pair will receive 3,500 Euros each.
- In middle and low-income countries, the Asian student will receive 4,000 Euros, while the Swedish student will receive 3,000 Euros.

Eligibility of the 2023 DUO-Sweden Fellowship Programme
To participate in this unique program, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- An academic cooperative arrangement or inter-institutional agreement has been established between an educational institution in Sweden (home institution) and an educational institution in Asia (host institution).
- The home institution in Sweden has chosen a national student of an EU country and enrolled at the home institution to be sent to the host institution in Asia. Additionally, the selection made by the home institution has been accepted by the host institution in Asia.
- The same host institution in Asia has selected an Asian student enrolled at the host institution to be sent to the home institution in Sweden. Furthermore, the selection made by the host institution has been accepted by the home institution in Sweden.
Requirements of the 2023 DUO-Sweden Fellowship Programme
1. Filling out an Online Application Form ONLY
2. A Copy of the Cooperation Agreement (or Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation) between paired institutions OR declaration of intention to set up a new cooperation agreement, signed by the Head of a Swedish Higher Education Institution
3. A copy of the passport of paired applicants
4. A copy of the transcript of paired applicants (should include the grades until the fall semester of 2022)
How to apply for the 2023 DUO-Sweden Fellowship Programme
An Online application form for DUO-Sweden can be found on the ASEM-DUO website at www.asemduo.org
1. Enter your ID and password to complete an online application on the login page.
2. Home (Swedish) institution should fill out the whole application, including the information about the Host (Asian) Institution. Application Forms in PDF format can be downloaded at the banner of Forms.
3. The rest of the documents (cooperation agreement, passport copy, and transcript) can be uploaded in the last step of the application process.
4. Once completed, please submit your application by clicking the “submit” button. Home Institution should get a confirmation email from the Secretariat within three days after the completion of submission. If you don’t get a confirmation email, don’t hesitate to contact admin2@asemduo.org promptly.
