  • Qualified Beneficiaries
    Eligible applicants must be the next of kin of the following medical frontliners who passed away or contracted COVID-19 in the line of duty:
    • Doctors
    • Nurses
    • Medical Technologists
    • Community Health Workers
    • Administrative, Utility, and Support Services Personnel in healthcare facilities
  • Priority Beneficiaries
    • If the deceased medical frontliner was married, the priority beneficiaries are the children.
    • If the deceased was single, the eligible beneficiaries may be next of kin up to the 3rd degree of consanguinity.
  • Educational Status
    Applicants must be enrolled as college or university students in any of the following levels:
    • 1st year to 4th year (or 5th year for certain courses).
  • Academic Qualifications
    To qualify, eligible students must:
    • Have and maintain a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85% or its equivalent, or
    • Meet the University standards for the previous academic year (for incoming 1st-year students) or the previous semester (for incoming 2nd-year to 5th-year students).
  • Other Conditions
    Applicants must not be beneficiaries of any other scholarship or educational assistance program.

Benefits of BPI Foundation Pagpupugay Scholarship:

The BPI Pagpupugay Scholarship programs help students by providing financial support for their education.

1. Scholarship Grants:

  • Amount: Each scholar will receive up to ₱100,000.00 per academic year.
  • Purpose: This grant is intended to help cover tuition and other related expenses.

2. Direct Payment:

  • The financial aid will be paid directly to the BPI Foundation’s partner institutions.
  • Scope: The financial assistance will only cover expenses for the regular school year or term.

3. Exclusions:

  • The scholarship does not cover:
    • School fees related to the summer term, unless it is required by the course curriculum.

4. Additional Support for State Universities and Colleges:

  • Scholars enrolled in state universities and colleges will receive:
    • Monthly living subsidy to support day-to-day expenses.
    • Learning assistance allowance to help with educational resources.

  • Course curriculum
  • For a child of the frontliner: NSO-authenticated birth certificate of the applicant.
  • For a sibling of the frontliner: NSO-authenticated birth certificates of both the applicant and the frontliner showing common parents.
  • For a nephew/niece of the frontliner: Birth certificates of the applicant, their parent, and the frontliner showing common grandparents.
  • For a widow/widower of the frontliner: NSO-authenticated marriage certificate of the frontliner.
  • Medical frontliner’s PRC ID or License ID
  • If the frontliner is deceased: Death certificate indicating COVID-19 or related complications as the cause of death.
  • If the frontliner is living: Medical certificate indicating COVID-19 in the findings.

Financial Documents

  • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents/guardian, or a Certificate of Indigency.

Academic Records

  • Latest Transcript of Records or Copy of Grades from the previous academic year.
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character.

  • Only applications with complete requirements will be processed.
  • Scanned copies of the application form and supporting documents can be submitted. Hard copies will be required if selected for the scholarship.
