About the CHED Medical Technologists and Pharmacists Scholarship Program:

The CHED Medical Technologists and Pharmacists Scholarship Program 2025 is a government-funded initiative by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to support qualified students across the Philippines who are pursuing degrees in Medical Technology or Pharmacy.

This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students, helping them complete their studies and encouraging them to contribute to the healthcare sector in the future.

The program is available through CHED-recognized colleges and universities nationwide, ensuring that scholars receive both academic and financial support throughout their education.

Qualification:

To apply for the CHED Medical Technologists and Pharmacists Scholarship Program for aspiring Medical Technologists and Pharmacists, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Citizenship and Residency
   • Must be a Filipino citizen currently residing in the Philippines.
2. Educational Background
   • Must be a Senior High School graduate under the STEM strand, OR
   • A current or continuing college student in higher year levels of:
     • Medical Technology / Medical Laboratory Science, or
     • Pharmacy programs.
   • Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80% or its equivalent.
3. Enrollment Requirements
   • For incoming freshmen:
     • Must have passed entrance exams and fulfilled other admission requirements in a Medical Technology / Medical Laboratory Science or Pharmacy program at a CHED-identified SUC (State University or College) or PHEI (Private Higher Education Institution).
   • For continuing students:
     • Must have no failed subjects in the latest semester or term prior to application.
4. Income Requirement
   • Combined annual gross income of parent/s or guardian must not exceed Php 400,000,
     • OR if income exceeds Php 400,000, the applicant must provide:
       • Medical findings or documentation of illness of a family member, OR
       • School certifications showing that two or more dependents are enrolled in college.

Requirements:

To complete your application for the CHED Medical Technologists and Pharmacists Scholarship Program, you must submit all required documents.

• Application Form:
  • Completed official application form.
• Scholar’s Commitment:
  • Notarized Scholar’s Commitment to Render Return Service Obligation.
• Proof of Identity:
  • Photocopy of birth certificate issued by the Local Civil Registry or the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
• Academic Records:
  • For incoming first-year college students:
    • Duly certified true copy of Form 138 (Senior High School Report Card).
  • For applicants with earned college units:
    • Duly certified true copy of grades for the latest term or semester attended.
• Proof of Income:
  • Submit any one (1) of the following as proof of income:
    • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parent(s) or guardian.
    • Certificate of Tax Exemption/Non-filer from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
    • Certificate of Low Income or Indigence from the Barangay.
    • Case Study Report from the City or Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
    • For children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and seafarers: latest copy of contract or other proof of income.
• Additional Documentary Requirements (If Applicable):
  • Applicants belonging to Indigenous Peoples (IPs), residing in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs), or belonging to special groups must submit certifications or Identification Cards (IDs) issued by the appropriate offices or agencies.
