Suppose you’re a low- or middle-income country resident, passionate about multiple sclerosis research, and looking for a fully-funded opportunity to further your studies or work. In that case, this fellowship is just for you. The Multiple Sclerosis International Federation has launched the MSIF-McDonald Fellowships to empower individuals who wish to make a difference in the MS field and contribute to improving patient care in their home countries.
This international fellowship is open to individuals who are either studying or working on projects related to multiple Sclerosis in low or middle-income countries. Due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions, you can participate in this fellowship while staying in your home country and working with an international organization. The companies come in two types: MSIF-ECTRIMS McDonald Fellowship, in partnership with the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis, and MSIF-ARSEP McDonald Fellowship, in collaboration with ARSEP.
By participating in the MSIF-McDonald Fellowship, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge about multiple Sclerosis, including its causes, symptoms, and various types. You’ll also learn about the challenges faced in accessing MS healthcare and improving its treatment in different countries and how the MSIF works with national MS organizations to overcome these challenges. With hands-on experience in research and patient care, you’ll develop the skills and networks necessary to impact the MS field positively.
The objective of MSIF is to unite all individuals for the betterment of those impacted by multiple Sclerosis. In pursuit of this purpose, MSIF concentrates on five key goals:
- Changing attitudes, policies, and practices
- Informed decision-making
- Greater scientific understanding and treatments
- Improved access to healthcare and treatment
- Building a stronger MSIF movement
By becoming a part of the MSIF-McDonald Fellowship, you’ll be a part of this mission and help drive positive change in the field of MS.
