What is the APTSFI Scholarship Program?
The APTSFI Scholarship Program is a college scholarship grant that supports underserved youth nationwide through financial assistance and values formation training.
This program is intended for qualified senior high school graduates who have a general weighted average of at least 85% and come from indigent families, as certified or vouched for by their respective municipalities.
Through this scholarship, the foundation aims to help deserving students continue their education and build a brighter future. It also recognizes the important role of the youth in society and supports them through both academic assistance and personal formation.
Qualifications
Here are the qualifications you need to meet to qualify for the scholarship:
- Must be a graduate of any Senior High School.
- Must have a minimum Senior High School average grade of not lower than 85%, supported by a photocopy of the Senior High School Report Card or Form 138.
- Must be a Filipino citizen and of good moral character, certified by the Senior High School Principal or a recognized school authority.
- Must take up any baccalaureate course in any state university and/or public college.
- Must come from an indigent family, as assessed by the DSWD, MSWD, or CSWD.
- Must not be a current recipient of any major scholarship or financial aid, such as pre-need educational plans, DOST, CHED, or other academic-related scholarships, as attested in a duly notarized affidavit.
Note: Only one scholar per family will be granted by the Foundation.
Maintenance of Scholarship
To continue receiving the scholarship, scholars must follow these requirements:
- Must maintain a general weighted average (GWA) of 85% or its equivalent every term.
- Must have no failing grade, no incomplete grade, and must not have dropped any subject.
- Remedial cases may be allowed for only one semester if the student has a GWA lower than 85% but has no failing grades.
- Must not cancel enrollment during the scholarship period or skip any year within the four (4) consecutive years of scholarship.
- Must always take the full load per semester or be enrolled as a regular student.
- Must not be subject to any disciplinary action in school or in the community.
- Must not shift to another college program or course.
- Must not transfer from a state university to a private school.
- Must not accept any kind of employment while on scholarship, so they can devote their full time to their studies.
Application Requirements
These are the documents you need to provide to complete your scholarship application:
- Filled-up Application Form with 2×2 picture and contact number
- Personal Letter of Intent
- State University Entrance Exam Result
- Form 138 or Grade 12 Report Card
- Good Moral Certificate from Senior High School
- Case Study Report from the Municipality Social Worker through the DSWD, CSWD, or MSWD Office
- Income Tax Return (ITR) or BIR Form 2316
- If not applicable, submit a Certificate of Non-Income from the BIR Office.
