The DOST-SEI-USask Graduate Scholarship Program offers Filipino doctoral students the chance to study and conduct research at the University of Saskatchewan (USask).

About the DOST-SEI-USask Graduate Scholarship Program:

The Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan (USask), is now inviting applications for the DOST-SEI-USask Graduate Scholarship Program (DOST-SEI-USask GSP) for the September 2025 intake.

This program is designed to foster long-term collaboration between DOST-SEI and USask in graduate education. It offers an opportunity for doctoral students from the Philippines to engage in research and studies at USask.

Both institutions will jointly provide support for students pursuing advanced studies in key priority Science and Technology fields.

The National Graduate Office for the Health Sciences (NGOHS) for DOST-SEI-USask Graduate Scholarship Program prioritizes programs in the following fields:

• Animal and Poultry Science
• Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology
• Chemistry
• Environmental and Sustainability
• Health Sciences
• Physics and Engineering Physics
• Soil Science
• Vaccinology and Immunotherapeutics
• Veterinary Biomedical Sciences
• Veterinary Microbiology
• Veterinary Pathology

Application Process:

Requirements:

2. Birth Certificate (Photocopy)
3. Certified True Copy of the Official Transcript of Record
4. Endorsement Letters
   • Two former college professors (for MS applicants)
   • Two former professors in the MS program (for PhD applicants)

   • Permission to take a leave of absence (LOA) while on scholarship
6. Medical Certificate
   • A statement of health status and fitness to study from a licensed physician, including the PRC license number
7. Valid NBI Clearance
8. Letter of Admission from the Graduate School, which should include:
   • Evaluation Sheet
   • Program of Study
9. Budgetary Requirements
   • Attach at least 3 airfare canvasses and website references for items requested
10. Re-entry Plan
