About the Bugsay Scholarship Program:
The Bugsay Scholarship Program by RAFI Micro-Finance, Inc. (RAFI MFI) provides financial support to students whose parents or legal guardians are active RAFI MFI clients. It helps deserving scholars pursue a four-year degree in priority fields like Accounting, Business, IT, Psychology, and Social Work.
RAFI MFI, a program under the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI), empowers low-income families through microfinance and community programs.

Qualification:
To qualify, the Bugsay Scholarship Program is open to students who meet the following requirements:
1. Parentage / Family Requirement
The applicant must be a biological or legally adopted child of an active client of RAFI Micro-Finance, Inc. (RAFI MFI).
- Active client of RAFI MFI – The applicant’s parent or legal guardian must currently be borrowing money or receiving financial assistance from RAFI MFI.
- Biological or legally adopted child – The parent’s name must appear on the applicant’s birth certificate, or the applicant must have been legally adopted through official documents.
2. Education Requirement
- Must have completed Senior High School or its equivalent.
- Must be an incoming first-year college student.
- Must pass the entrance exam and meet the academic requirements of the chosen university or college.

Requirements:
Both student applicants and their parents or guardians must submit specific documents for the Bugsay Scholarship Program. Below are the required documents for each:

- Certified True Copy of PSA Birth Certificate or NSO/Live Birth Certificate.
