Davao City Water District is offering five (5) slots for the DCWD College Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and one (1) slot for the DCWD College Scholarship for Non-Indigenous Peoples (Non-IPs) for the school year 2026-2027.

These scholarships are open to eligible students who aspire to pursue a college degree at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), specifically at the Obrero and Mintal campuses.

Eligibility Criteria:

DCWD College Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and DCWD College Scholarship for Non-Indigenous Peoples (Non-IPs) applicants must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the scholarships. Below are the following:

DCWD College Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples (IPs)

Available Slots: 5

  • A senior high school graduate with an average grade of at least 80%
  • If currently enrolled in college, must have an average grade of at least 80% from the previous semester
  • A member of an Indigenous Cultural Community or a Muslim residing in the watershed areas of Toril, Tugbok, Baguio, Calinan, or Marilog districts

DCWD College Scholarship for Non-Indigenous Peoples (Non-IPs)

Available Slot: 1

  • A senior high graduate of a recently preceding school year upon application
  • Must have an average grade of at least 80%
  • Must be in the top 20% of the graduating class
  • Must be a resident of Davao City

Both the DCWD College Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and the DCWD College Scholarship for Non-Indigenous Peoples (Non-IPs) provide:

  • Transportation allowance
  • Meals allowance
  • Boarding house allowance

  3. Tribal Certification proving tribal affiliation
  4. Barangay Clearance for verification of residence and good standing
  5. Barangay Endorsement supporting the applicant’s eligibility
  6. Certificate of Confirmation (COC) issued by NCIP or NCMF, certifying tribal membership and that the tribal chieftain is registered
  7. Certified true copy of annual household Income Tax Return (ITR) not exceeding ₱120,000.00
  8. Photocopy of Birth Certificate (PSA-issued)
  9. One recent 2×2 photo (preferably wearing IP costume)

DCWD College Scholarship for Non-Indigenous Peoples (Non-IPs)

  1. Notice of Admission to the Program (NOAP) from USeP
  2. Senior High School Report Card
  3. Certification from the school head confirming the applicant is among the top 20% of the graduating class
  4. Certified true copy of annual household Income Tax Return (ITR) not exceeding ₱120,000.00
  5. Photocopy of Birth Certificate (PSA-issued)
  6. One recent 2×2 photo
  7. Barangay Clearance
  8. Barangay Endorsement
