About Mercury Drug Foundation Scholarship:
Mercury Drug Foundation, Inc. (MDFI) is a private, non-stock, non-profit organization established in 1983 and registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission under the name Mercury Group Foundation, Inc.
In 1990, it was renamed Mercury Drug Foundation, Inc. This foundation is dedicated to supporting various educational initiatives and providing opportunities for deserving individuals.
One of its flagship programs awards full scholarships to:
Deserving but financially challenged students of pharmacy. Additionally, students of other selected courses and dependents of soldiers who are in active service, incapacitated, or have died in the line of duty may be considered for support.
Gawad Talino awardees recognized for their academic excellence in Mathematics or Science.
Through these scholarships, MDFI aims to empower individuals to pursue their educational aspirations and contribute positively to society.
Eligibility:
For Deserving but Financially Challenged Pharmacy Students:
To qualify for assistance, you must be:
A pharmacy student facing financial difficulties
In your final two years of study at one of MDFI’s partner pharmacy schools
Maintaining a general weighted average (GWA) of 2.5 (80%) or higher
Single and aged 23 years or younger
In good health and possess good moral character
Not receiving any other scholarship or educational aid
Not a dependent of an employee of Mercury Drug Corporation, Mercury Group of Companies, or its subsidiaries
For Gawad Talino Awardees:
Must be a recipient of MDFI’s Gawad Talino Awards who are incoming college freshmen in state universities, taking up Accountancy/Financial Management, Architecture, Business Administration, Engineering (Civil, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical), Information Technology, Mathematics, Pharmacy or Psychology
Must be an incoming college freshman
Single and aged 21 years or younger
Must be in good health and possess good moral character
Not receiving any other scholarships or educational assistance
Must be enrolled in a state university or government-funded school
Not a dependent of an employee of Mercury Drug Corporation, Mercury Group of Companies, or its subsidiaries
Able to maintain a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 2.0 (85%) or higher.
