About LandBank: Iskolar ng LANDBANK Program
Established on August 8, 1963, under Republic Act 3844 (Agricultural Land Reform Code), the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) is a government owned financial institution tasked with promoting countryside development while maintaining financial viability.
It operates as a specialized government bank with a universal banking license, serving the needs of farmers and fishermen.
Iskolar ng LANDBANK Program:
The Iskolar ng LANDBANK Program, implemented since 2023, is a scholarship initiative of the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) aimed at supporting economically disadvantaged yet deserving students.
Specifically, the program targets children or grandchildren of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs), small farmers, and fishers.
Its primary objective is to nurture and develop youth from the country’s sixty poorest provinces by offering supported courses at identified State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).
“We want the Iskolar ng LANDBANK Program to create meaningful impact in the
lives of deserving students who really need assistance the most.
We are now reaching out to our partner cooperatives, associations, and organizations in the agri
sector to nominate dependents from among their members,”
LANDBANK President and CEO Cecilia Cayosa Borromeo.
The Iskolar ng LANDBANK Program is administered by the LCDFI – LANDBANK Countryside Development Foundation Inc.
This organization is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the program and managing inquiries related to it.
