About Palawan Pawnshop Scholarship:
Palawan Group of companies PGC began in Puerto Princesa City on August 17, 1985, initially focusing on pawn brokering.
Over the years, it has grown to offer a range of services including Palawan Express Pera Padala, international money remittance, foreign currency exchange, e-loading, bills payment, and accident insurance nationwide.
Palawan Pawnshop also supports education through the Palawan Group of Companies (PGC) Scholar, Palawan Pawnshop Scholarship program, which helps first-year college students aged 16-21 pursue their educational goals across the Philippines.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for the Palawan Pawnshop Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Incoming first-year college students who are between 16-21 years old, and whose Grade 12 General Weighted Average is 90% and above.
- Must be a resident of Palawan.
- Priority will be given to applicants from indigent families or below-average income earning families.
- The applicant should pass the initial interview conducted by the Scholarship Program Management.
- Must possess good moral character, be in good health, and have no derogatory record or involvement in any criminal offense.
- Direct dependents and relatives (up to 3rd degree) of Palawan Group of Companies Associates are not eligible to apply.
- Must not be a recipient of any scholarship, financial aids, grants from any government and non-government agency, foundation, and the like, except for academic scholarships granted by schools for honor students.
