About WMSU LandBank Scholarship:

The Iskolar ng LANDBANK Program, themed “600@60,” supports underprivileged students who are children or grandchildren of ARBs or SFFs.

LANDBANK will sponsor sixty scholars from agricultural provinces across the Philippines, covering twelve courses offered by State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the WMSU LandBank Scholarship, applicants must meet specific criteria.

  • Must be a resident of Basilan or Zamboanga Del Sur.
  • Children or grandchildren of ARBS (Agricultural Reform Beneficiaries’ Society) or SFFS (Small Farmers’ Federation of the South).
  • Must have a minimum average grade of 90% or be among the top 10 students in their senior high school class.
  • Must be endorsed by the high school principal.
  • Must not be receiving any other financial assistance, grant, or scholarship.
  • Annual total family income must not exceed PHP 300,000.00.

Requirements:

To apply for the WMSU LandBank Scholarship, applicants must submit the following documents:

  1. Endorsement Letter: Signed by the SUC President or Scholarship Office.
  2. Completed Application Form: Along with all required supporting documents.
  3. Certified True Copy of Grades: Must include the school seal.
  4. Letter of Recommendation: From the school principal.
  5. Endorsement Letter: From a LANDBANK agriculture-related client cooperative association or organization.
  6. Essays: Two essays—500 words each on the topics: “Why I am pursuing a career in (course to be taken)?” and “How does LANDBANK help in nation building?”
  7. Birth Certificate: PSA/NSO-certified or a Certified True Copy (CTC) issued by the Local Civil Registrar and authenticated by the PSA.
  8. Proof of Registration: To the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) or a certification from the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) or Municipal Agrarian Reform Office (MARO).
  9. Proof of Family Income: Photocopy of recent Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents, BIR Certificate of Tax Exemption, or Certificate of Indigency.
  10. Certification of Good Moral Character: From the school’s Office of Student Affairs.
  11. Barangay Clearance: From the applicant’s home barangay.
